It’s August 2025, and I’m celebrating 17 amazing years of creating and selling jewelry! This month, I’m marking the occasion with a special Throwback Series featuring designs I first made back in 2008–2009—and I thought it was the perfect time to share a bit of my story, too.

How did Cloverleaf Jewelry begin? Well, it actually started as Cloverleaf Creations. I chose that name because my quirky (and totally useless) superpower is randomly spotting four-leaf clovers—everywhere, even when I’m not trying. I think I inherited this odd talent from my grandmother!
As for “Creations,” I picked that word because I’ve always loved making all kinds of things—jewelry, crafts, artwork—and I wasn’t sure where the road would lead. I wanted a name that gave me room to explore.
I remember the exact day I decided to try something new. One afternoon, I was sitting in my living room, looking at a plain, empty corner. I thought to myself, A mobile would look really cool there. I pictured wire creations hanging delicately from it—something handmade, a little whimsical.
Since I’d done a lot of bead-weaving over the years, I knew there was a local bead shop that offered classes. One week later, I was sitting in one, learning how to make a wire-work bracelet. I loved it so much that I bought all the supplies and tools on the spot. I came home and made about 20 bracelets in a flurry of excitement.
Completely obsessed, I started showing my creations to friends. One of them asked, “Can I buy one of these for a birthday gift?” Well… sure! I quickly discovered that lots of people wanted to buy my bracelets—so I made more. Then people started asking, “Do you make earrings?” and “What about necklaces?”
And now, here I am—still happily making little wire creations, still obsessed, and still so grateful for where that one little idea led me.
Looking back, it’s incredible to see how that simple idea—just trying something new to brighten up a corner—led to a creative journey that’s lasted 17 years (and counting!). I never imagined that a single bracelet class would turn into a full-time passion and a business I truly love. As I revisit those early designs this month, my hope is that you’ll enjoy seeing where it all began—each piece a little part of the story, full of heart, wire, and wonder.
